Do I need to write an introduction for one of the leading bands in the German Thrash scene? Along with SODOM and KREATOR gave the momentum to this scene back in the 80s and if you think a little more you will realize that are still on the leading position. The band is already celebrating the 25 years of constant headbanging and is back after the "D.E.V.O.L.U.T.I.O.N." release with a double live album.
When I first heard that DESTRUCTION were planning to put out another live album I thought "What the hell, again?" "Live Discharge" has been already out from 2004 and since then, DESTRUCTION have only two albums with new music. Remember that "Thrash Anthems" had only re-recordings of some of their classic hits. But after my research in the internet I found out that this is a special recording comprising songs from the legendary ’Wacken 2007’ and some from their tour in Asia.

Just what the world was missing, a tribute “band” to the greatest action hero of our time, “The Governator” Arnold Schwarzenegger. This band, however, isn’t much of a band at all. This is basically just a side project for As I Lay Dying’s frontman, Tim Lambesis with the help of Chad Ackermann providing the voice of The Oak. Double Brutal is the follow-up to the 2008’s, Total Brutal. Creatively titled the album is a double disc featuring all originals for the first half, and covers that relate to Schwarzenegger movies make up the 2nd disc.

"Faith Divides Us – Death Unites Us" is the twelfth release for PARADISE LOST and picks up where "In Requiem" left. The rough production that is reminiscent to older albums such as "Icon" and "Draconian Times" is evident in this album. The calm and sometimes eerie intros to some of the songs lead to a musical storm with hard riffs, deep harmonics, powerful bass and drum lines and a deep emotional heaviness. The choice of 7-string guitars for this album, which is also the first time to be used by PARADISE LOST in the bands history, results to a deeper more foreboding guitar sound, that twist and turns from a melancholy to angry riffs and solos, such as in the songs "Frailty" and "The Rise Of Denial".
